Payments

Give your agents money with limits you set

A budget is a wallet with rules attached, and the rules are enforced by the network rather than by hope.

You decide how much an agent can spend, over what period, and on what. The network checks every payment against those terms, and you can close the budget and take the balance back at any moment.

Handing software a company card is how most teams let an agent spend today, and it is why most teams let it spend very little. A budget on Paxeer X is different. You fund it, you set a limit per day or per month, you name the agents allowed to draw from it, and every payment they attempt is checked against your rules before it moves. If an agent is compromised, the worst case is the limit you chose.

Budgets are how a person stays in charge of software that handles money on its own. The agent gets autonomy inside the lines. You get a ledger that shows exactly where the lines were.

Set one up in three steps

  1. 01

    Fund it

Move $2,000 into a budget for your research agent. Choose a monthly period, a $2,000 limit and whether unspent money carries over.

  2. 02

    Name who spends

Add the agent as a delegate with its own per-payment cap, say $25, and a total cap. Add a second agent with different caps. Remove either whenever you like.

  3. 03

    Let it run

The agent pays for search, data and inference from the budget. Every payment is checked against the period limit and its own caps. Anything over the line is refused, with a receipt that says why.

The controls you have

ControlWhat it means for you
Limit per periodThe most the budget can pay out in a day, a week or a month.
Carry-over capHow much unspent allowance may roll into the next period, if any.
DelegatesThe agents or people allowed to spend, each with a per-payment cap and a total cap.
Payee pullLet a trusted vendor collect from the budget under terms you approve, within the same limits.
Amend, top up, closeChange limits, add funds or shut the budget and recover the balance in one action.

Nothing here depends on the agent cooperating. The rules sit with the money, and the money will not move outside them.

Budgets for different desks

Founders shipping an agent
Start with $200 a month and a $5 per-payment cap. Raise the limits as the agent earns your trust, without redeploying anything.
Finance leads
Each budget is a cost center with a hard ceiling. Spend reports fall out of the ledger, and overspend is impossible rather than merely discouraged.
Operators running fleets
Give fifty agents fifty budgets, or one shared budget with fifty delegates. Revoke a misbehaving one in seconds and nothing else stops.
